• Hand washing & moisturizing:

    • Remove rings from hand when washing hands.
    • Use a lukewarm or cool water.
    • Use cleansing bar or mild soap as like Dove, Oil of Olay, Eucerin, Basis, Cetaphil, Aveeno or Oilatum.
    • After washing your hand, pat hands dry (try to leave as much water on the skin).
    • Immediately after above step, apply ointment or cream to both hands ( don't apply lotions).

(Vaseline is a good occlusive preparation to seal in the water; however, it contains no water so it only works effectively after a soaking bath. Recommended moisturizers include:
Aquaphor Ointment, Eucerin Creme, Vanicream,Cetaphil Cream, or Moisturel Cream).

    • Repeat moisturizing as often as possible every day, at least 10 times per day.
    • Avoid overusing water or soap.
