Nebulizers are used to treat asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and other conditions where inhaled medicines are indicated.

Nebulizers deliver a stream of medicated air to the lungs over a period of time.

Assemble the nebulizer according to its instructions. Connect the hose to an air compressor.

How to fill the medicine?

  1. Fill the medicine cup with your prescription, according to the instructions. Use the dropper volume prescribed by your doctor. It is important to take care not to touch the tip of the dropper with the medicine cup.
  2. Add sterile normal saline solution, as your doctor has directed. If you are using ventolin only, a general guideline : For example, if you put 0.25 mL or 1.25 mg of VENTOLIN Inhalation Solution, add 2.75 mL of sterile normal saline. or if you put 0.5 mL or 2.5 mg of VENTOLIN Inhalation Solution, add 2.5 mL of sterile normal saline.
  3. Gently swirl (mix by rotating the medication cup) the nebulizer to mix the contents.
  4. Connect the medication cup with the mouthpiece or face mask

Attach the hose and mouthpiece to the medicine cup.

Then:

  1. Sit in a comfortable, upright position.
  2. Turn-on the nebulizer machine.
  3. Place the mouthpiece in your mouth.
  4. Breathe through your mouth as calmly, deeply, and evenly as possible until no more mist is formed in the nebulizer chamber (about 5 to 15 minutes). At this point, the treatment is finished.

Some people prefer to use a mask.

Wash the medicine cup and mouthpiece with water, and air-dry until your next treatment.

Use only as directed by your doctor. More frequent administration or higher doses are not recommended.

Store between 2° and 25°C.
